Assessment is designed to be closely related to real-world scenarios with the focus on testing students' problem-solving skills. Traditional assessment such as reports and essays will be used in conjunction with IT-specific assessments such as software, algorithm and ICT solution development.
On-campus students experience a variety of teaching approaches including lectures, tutorials, online activities and video-linked or podcast virtual classes. The method of teaching may vary from unit to unit.
Our online study option is highly interactive and strives to promote collaboration and a sense of community. Students may receive a combination of podcast or video-linked lectures, electronic study materials, workshops, online discussion forums and virtual classes. The method of teaching may vary from unit to unit.
Graduates will have wide-ranging career opportunities in the high-growth field of information technology, from working with digital technologies, to software development, big data analysis and smart city/smart environment development. The Graduate Certificate in Computing also serves as a pathway to the Graduate Diploma of Computing and Master of Computing.
