Course summary

The Postgraduate Qualifying Program (PQP) prepares international students for postgraduate study in accounting, business, tourism and hospitality, information technology and engineering. It assists students to develop the skills necessary for success at the postgraduate level.

The course combines study in English for Academic Purposes at the postgraduate level with two units that are core to postgraduate study in business, tourism, accounting, information technology and engineering. It is designed for international students whose academic qualifications and/or English proficiency levels are slightly below Southern Cross University's entry requirements for postgraduate degrees.

Students who successfully complete the PQP meet the academic and English language entry requirements for the following on-campus postgraduate courses at Southern Cross University: Master of Business Administration (MBA)Master of Professional Accounting (MPA)Master of International Tourism and Hotel Management (MITHM), Master of Information Technology or the Master of Engineering Management, Master of Business Administration (MEM/MBA). Students who successfully complete the PQP also receive two units of advanced standing towards these courses.
