Transition to Uni is a free, intensive preparatory course designed for recent school leavers and current ATAR-eligible Year 12 students.
The full-time intensive program is a six-week course. Each week involves 10 hours of class and up to 30 hours for independent study and assessment preparation.
The course develops the key academic literacies and the foundational scientific and mathematical concepts you will need at university, through interactive online modules, live online classes and assessment preparation. You can proceed to a degree with the confidence you are ready to succeed in your university studies.
Graduates of the Transition to Uni program are eligible for entry into a Southern Cross University undergraduate degree*.

This course consists of two core units designed to prepare students for critical reading and writing, and scientific and mathematical problem-solving at university. The two core units are:
Each of these units involves around 20 hours of study per week. In total, students should expect to spend up to 40 hours on study each week during Transition to Uni.

To achieve satisfactory completion of the course, a candidate shall successfully complete all core units.
Participation
Students who do not participate in a unit before census date will be deemed to be inactive and unenrolled from the unit. Participation is determined by presence on the online learning site.

Course Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a course. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes.
Assessment is through quizzes, short written responses, extended writing or problem-solving tasks. No exams are given in this course.
Transition to Uni is an online-only course. Students work through interactive online modules each week for six weeks. You will also participate in live, interactive classes that involve discussion, guided problem-solving, and practice exercises that help you prepare for assessments. Students are expected to participate in all scheduled classes unless unavoidable commitments, such as work, prevent attendance.
This is a pathway course to an undergraduate degree. Your career opportunities will be linked to the undergraduate course you choose after you successfully complete Transition to Uni.
