I am Ben Gohl one of the Directors at Planit Consulting. We are a multi-disciplinary consultancy. We offer services in civil engineering, town planning and ecological services. We play in the local government sector as well as the private sector. We have offices in 3 different states across the country and just under 50 staff. We do jobs as small as your mum and dad minor additions and developments. All the way through to large scale infrastructure projects like this here and up to larger land develop projects of of up to 1000 lots.

Being a regionally based consultancy, one of our main focuses is obviously on retaining key staff. Our main focus is finding staff who want to live in those regional areas and deliver services for. Since Southern Cross University has been delivering Engineering we have employed three and we currently have two full-time employees. Southern Cross University at Lismore is on our doorstep so we like to employ people that come through that curriculum. Jake's been with us for just over 3 years now, he was one of the first to graduate out of the course at Southern Cross Uni. Jake in particular has been entrusted with doing a lot of our storm water drainage for large land subdivisions he's definitely an asset to the team.

The great thing about graduates with the right attitude is their growth and skill set it's going to be exponential in their first few years of their career that's why we're excited by giving new graduates new opportunities we challenge a lot of our grads to bring them up to speed as to where they need to be so it's the grounding that they get from Southern Cross University that is a critical stepping stone on their way through their career.
