Considering all aspects of Artists' Books and the production and design, including papermaking and binding. Students will investigate the principles of typography and book design, by creating their own artist books. Students will consider the relationship of image and text, the question of sequence in the structure of the book, the relationship of form and content. The unit will consider the presentation and distribution of the artist's book, looking at both historical and contemporary examples, utilising the collection of artists' books in the SCU Library.
