Building upon Design Fundamentals, this unit will extend students' individual understanding of Design approaches, supporting the development of valuable personal practices to inform new proposals relevant to students' interests and disciplines. Students will explore skills that support design insight and innovation and will refine bespoke approaches to the resolution of project-based problems and explorations.
- Plan and manage the design outcome from initial research and concept development to final resolution.
- Design solutions and workflow
- Understanding of communication conventions
- Design technology
- Fulfilling briefs and assessment of design solutions
- Speaking design from sketch to outcome
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
