Unit description

Enables students to complete a major creative project or to develop advanced-level technical skills related to their creative practice, spanning disciplines such as painting, design, sculpture, printmaking and new media. The unit fosters independent study and studio-based learning, while also offering group supervision for students working within similar creative areas.

Students will:

  • Propose a creative arts project or area of technical development.
  • Undertake research and studio-based practice in consultation with an appropriate supervisor.
  • Document their project.
  • Provide evidence of the project's impact on the development of practical or creative skills.

Learning outcomes

These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
