Unit description
Setting the ‘practice-led’ model of research at the core of activities, this unit brings students into a contemporary and active mode of making and researching. This way of working is vital for the success and sustainability of students moving toward the professional world of art and design. Articulating research methods for individual and collaborative practice is mentored by lecturers, with specific examples and approaches from leading practitioners. The theme for this unit is ‘Research Methods’.

Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit.
