Provides students with an understanding of the complexity of communities, and how politics and economics influence the way communities prepare for, and respond to, emergencies and disaster. It enables students to focus on specific communities and a specific emergency or disaster and consider the impact of politics and economics on the response. It prepares students for future related roles/occupations.
