Develops specialist knowledge and skills to provide optimal care for clients with acute, chronic and complex presentation of diabetes. Students develop in-depth knowledge specific to the aetiology and pathophysiology of diabetes and a thorough understanding of the causes of acute and chronic complications of diabetes. Students will demonstrate knowledge showing the impact and relationship with other comorbidities together with an understanding of landmark clinical trials and research in the field of diabetes.
