Unit description

This unit builds on Industry Project I, and provides an opportunity to design and implement the solution devised in Industry Project I.

Module 1: Review of the research environment
Module 2: Clarifying research questions
Module 3: Undertaking the research project
Module 4: Writing the report
Module 5: Presenting the report

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
1Creatively devise an ethical response to an industry-identified problem.
2Demonstrate effective communication skills in an industry context, such that agreement for implementation of a proposed project is achieved.
3Provide a succinct and professional post-implementation report to an industry partner.
4Undertake self-reflection that demonstrates insight into personal and professional strengths, as well as areas for improvement.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
