Provides students with an opportunity to engage in academic research in a specified discipline area through the completion, under guidance, of a thesis or creative output and exegesis. This unit comprises the second stage of the Honours project.
With guidance from an academic supervisor, students will typically cover the following topics during their thesis project units:
- Thesis planning
- Literature review
- Planning and conducting a research project
- Applying relevant methodologies and methods
- Writing a draft thesis OR developing creative output(s) and a draft exegesis
- Completing a thesis, or finalising creative output(s) and the exegesis, for submission
- Dissemination of research in a discipline specific manner
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit.
