Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
1identify and characterise types of hazardous waste and leachate
2develop strategies for dealing with hazardous waste and leachates
3solve complex problems associate with hazardous waste and leachate reduction and mitigation
4understand the sources of hazardous waste and how leachates are produced.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

  1. identify and characterise types of hazardous waste and leachate
  2. develop strategies for dealing with hazardous waste and leachates
