Unit description

Allows students to practise and reflect on workplace skills for career development in the civil construction industry. This unit requires students to undertake work-integrated learning on a civil construction site over the duration of the Study Period.

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
1demonstrate knowledge of workplace requirements and competency in relevant workplace practices in the civil construction industry
2use reflective practice to identify future skills and knowledge needed for your desired career in the civil construction industry
3produce a credible application for your desired job role in the civil construction industry.
