Unit description
Teaches students the principles and processes involved in the removal of contaminants from water. The unit covers physical, chemical, and biological treatment principles, and the application of these principles to the design of functioning water treatment plants.

- Fundamentals of water and wastewater engineering
- Treatment systems
- Biological nutrient removal
- Biosolids and anaerobic digestion
- Water and wastewater in remote and developing communities
- Liquid wastes
