Unit description

Enhances student's theoretical and practical understanding of program development, planning, monitoring, implementation and evaluation. Students will have the opportunity to develop a program plan that incorporates program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. The unit aims to extend students' knowledge and skills in the critique and application of program development and evaluation.

Topic 1 Introduction to developing, implementing and evaluating health promotion programs
Topic 2 Heath needs assessment/community assessment
Topic 3 Health promotion, social marketing and program planning
Topic 4 Planning
Topic 5 Implementation and monitoring, and producing a plan
Topic 6 Evaluation
