Unit description

Improves students' communication competencies in business and academia. Provides an understanding of the role and importance of interpersonal communication within organisations. Introduces students to communication theories and concepts applicable in a business and academic setting. Illustrates and puts into practice skills required to improve interpersonal communication competence.

Module 3: Non-verbal communication
 
Module 4: Self-identity, listening and feedback
 
Module 5: Intercultural communication and conflict resolution
 
Module 6: Groups, meetings and presentations

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
