Unit description
Introduces students to research paradigms and methodologies, scholarly traditions in the creative arts, humanities and social sciences, and research ethics and management.
Unit content
Surveys the history, philosophies and methodologies of research particularly as they pertain to creative arts, humanities and Social Sciences.
Develops an understanding of research approaches and perspectives in the broad context of contemporary research practices.
Students develop skills in critically evaluating research.
Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit.
