Unit description
Focuses on exploring the health priority areas of sexual health and relationships, drugs and alcohol, safety and nutrition as they relate to young people. Examines key policy responses as they pertain to schooling, with a particular focus on curriculum imperatives and classroom teaching.

Module 1: Young People health and ‘risk’
Module 2: Health Policy
Module 3: Sexual health and relationships pedagogical approaches
Module 4: Drug education and contemporary pedagogical approaches
Module 5: Road safety
Module 6: Dealing with sensitive issues (Phase 2)
Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit.
