Unit description
Assists students to program units of work and plan assessment strategies for Technologies subjects. Students will review the relevant State or Territory curriculum authority assessment requirements for the Year 12 completion certificates and develop pedagogical approaches and strategies relevant to technology education. Assists students to manage the production of Major Projects. Students are introduced to the principles and practice of writing student reports and evaluating their teaching practice.

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. | 3 | demonstrate extensive knowledge of assessment practices including rubrics, marking guidelines, marking criteria and the use of performance band descriptors for Technologies courses and for the evaluation of teaching to inform future planning and practice |
| 4 | critically analyse suitable management practices including budgeting and selecting, storing, maintaining and replacing materials and equipment within a Technologies department |
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
