Unit description
Introduces students to a wide range of literature that provides insight into Aboriginal, multicultural and children’s experiences, including literary, visual and multimedia texts. It supports students to understand early language acquisition from 0-5 years and provides an introduction to related issues of child development. Additionally, students will gain an understanding of the teaching and learning of reading and writing in years K-6 and evidence-based approaches to teach and assess these skills.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
