Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

apply systematic processes to formulate, design and manage the undertaking of a complex engineering project in the chosen field of engineering specialisation in a workplace with some independence

generate, evaluate and select from alternative design solutions to a complex engineering problem in the chosen field of engineering specialisation in a workplace with some independence

effectively communicate outcomes from a complex engineering project to a range of stakeholders in written and oral forms

critically reflect on and self-assess development of proficiency in the Engineers Australia Stage 1 Competencies for Professional Engineers
