Unit description

Introduces surveying and spatial technology field practice as it relates to civil engineering. The types and use of basic surveying equipment including dumpy levels, total stations and GPS rovers will be introduced. Proper note-keeping techniques and computations are studied.

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
