Extends and applies a student's knowledge of hydrology, geology and chemistry to investigate the way in which surface hydrology, sub-surface geology and human activities influence the properties of groundwater. The unit seeks to develop an advanced conceptual understanding, and skills in field investigation, laboratory analysis and computer modelling, of groundwater systems.
