Provides students with the opportunity to engage in supervised research in a specific area, thereby gaining experience of the professional role of a researcher in allied health. The unit requires students to develop a research question, and write a proposal, considering the research design, methods and ethics associated with the project. This unit is the second in the embedded Allied Health Honours stream.
- Conceptualisation and refinement of a research topic
- Theoretical and empirical foundations of a research topic
- Ethical principles, national guidelines and ethical processes including Human Research Ethics review
- Research proposal development.
