Unit description
Provides broad and critical foundational understandings and skills relating to the study of personal development, health and physical education. Details the nature and role of PDHPE as a discipline for supporting the development of health and wellbeing.

Module 3: Games-based approaches
Module 4: Personal health
Module 5: Australian and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health
Module 6: Settings-based health promotion
Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to: | |

3 | demonstrate fundamental movement skills through areas such as dance, gymnastics, games and sports and a range of physical activities |
4 | discuss key issues in health studies, including healthy eating, sexual health, safety, drug education, child protection education, interpersonal relationships and healthy choices |
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
