Develops the knowledge and skills required to plan successful events. Students will follow a project-based learning approach, using best practice event planning criteria.
Topic 1: Who needs business, sports, cultural and special events anyway?
Topic 2: Exploring different events and their importance to tourism industries
Topic 3: Who is involved in event planning? (stakeholder theory)
Topic 4: Inside the planning of the world’s best events (budgets, strategy, design)
Topic 5: Exploring the differences between audiences and participants
Topic 6: How did we do? Event evaluation and research
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit.
