Unit description

Introduces students to the principles and practices of convention and exhibition planning. Students focus on planning the coordination of key parties including: venue, catering and audio visual service providers and the conveners and exhibitors by the Professional Conference/Exhibition Organiser with a particular focus on marketing and promoting the convention and exhibition.

Learning outcomes

demonstrate the capability to design and propose a convention or exhibition to address the competing interests of key stakeholders

demonstrate the knowledge and skills to reflect upon the challenges of planning a convention or exhibition and how these challenges are managed.
