Unit description

Examines contemporary issues facing talent and culture management within hospitality. In the context of the hotel industry, students will explore elements including talent and culture strategy, end-to-end workforce planning, talent acquisition and retention, and employer of choice.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

Critically evaluate the strategic role and impacts of organisational culture on the hospitality industry

Analyse and reflect on a range of contemporary issues involved in developing, implementing and monitoring an organisational culture

Analyse internal and external factors that have the potential to affect talent within hospitality contexts

Develop, implement and monitor creative campaigns or initiatives that positively address talent and cultural issues within hotel contexts
