Unit description

Explores the value of scientific research in supporting decision making in hospitality organisations, and engages with essential skills including research methodologies and the process of informing a research project. Students will undertake a research project applying the key stages of the research process through integrating skills gained in earlier units.

Unit content

There are six (6) topics in this unit:

  1. Introduction to research
  2. The research process
  3. Designing and conducting research
  4. The elements of successful research
  5. Research methodologies
  6. Writing a professional research report

Learning outcomes
