Aims to develop an understanding of concepts, theory and worldview of culture. This is achieved by focusing specifically on developing students’ understanding of group, interpersonal, national, and international culture. This unit also examines the role of culture during organisational change.
Module 1: Organisational culture and change implementation
Module 2: Social influence and the power of the situation: the force behind culture and change
Module 3: Organisational culture and performance
Module 4: National culture
Module 5: Cultural analysis
Module 6: Leading cultural change
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
|On completion of this unit, students should be able to:|
|1||understand and be able to articulate the importance of organisational culture, power of the situation, and change for organisational performance|
|2||understand national culture and its influence on organisational culture, change, and performance|
|3||perform and interpret organisation cultural analyses|
|4||understand the basics of leadership for organisation cultural change.|
