Unit description

Examines the employment life-cycle from branding image and attraction, to employment transitions and termination. HRM operational processes and practices will be described and the role of HRM professional in building the human capital of the organisation will be explored. This unit builds on learning of the employment relationship in the unit Managing Organisations.

Topic 10: Managing diversity and employee health and safety

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

3Critically assess existing theory and practice in the field of HRM
4Demonstrate competence in communicating and exchanging HRM ideas and insights in a group context.
