Unit description
Provides a balanced introduction to Indigenous research theory and practice. Students learn the structures and procedures of ethical research, within an Indigenous context. Comparisons between Indigenous and non-Indigenous research theory and practice are explained.

Topic 1: Introduction to Australian Aboriginal Research Histories
Topic 2: Principles and Theory of Indigenous Research
Topic 3: Methods and Functions of Indigenous Research Practice
Topic 4: Personal and Professional Issues in Research
Learning outcomes
