Unit description
Presents primary health care as central to achieving real outcomes and health benefits for Aboriginal people. Collaborative and community owned approaches to primary health care are examined and supporting networks described.

Topic 2: Aboriginal Medical Services Organisation and Administration
Topic 3: Traditional Health Workers
Topic 4: Networking Skills in Aboriginal Community Contexts
Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to: | |

1 | demonstrate an understanding of interconnected and different disciplinary areas and the organisational utility of local, national and international networks in Indigenous health |
2 | examine the local and contextual connections and networks, memberships and engagements necessary to support collaboration in Aboriginal health care |
3 | develop an understanding of the importance of appropriate relevant networks to support professional placements. |
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
