Unit description

Engages students in a staged thesis unit for the Bachelor of Indigenous Knowledge with Honours program. Students have the opportunity to complete a thesis under the guidance of a supervisor. This is the second of a series of thesis units for the Bachelor of Indigenous Knowledge with Honours (the other units are INDG4002 and INDG4004).

Unit content

With guidance from an academic supervisor, students will typically cover the following topics:

  • Planning and conducting a research project
  • Relevant methodologies and methods
  • Literature review
  • Thesis planning
  • Conducting the research project
  • Writing a draft thesis
  • Completing the thesis for submission.

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
