Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

Explain Indigenous approaches to being and ways for understanding in the world, with a focus on Aboriginal peoples in Australian contexts

Examine the major Indigenous Knowledge theories including an examination of the contemporary and future-building potential of Indigenous Knowledge

Demonstrate an understanding that Indigenous Knowledge is a relational philosophy that underpins all human culture and provides potential for adaptation

Co-design and implement models for effectively ensuring respectful change, ethical sharing and care in Indigenous re-directive practice.
