Unit description
This unit continues the projects undertaken in ISY10221 - Computing Project I: Analysis and Design. It requires students to control and finalise their project and perform software prototyping, coding, testing and installation. Students will have opportunities to demonstrate and apply their skills of project management, software validation, programming, testing, documentation, communication and maintenance of relationship with other stakeholders. Students are also expected to organise meetings, keep records of their activities, review their project, deliver their software to the clients and prepare user manuals.
Unit content
There are no new topics introduced for this unit, as it is a capstone unit where you are expected to demonstrate the skills to undertake the development of a project. The topics of most relevance to achieving the goals of this unit are as follows:
-
Project management
-
Systems development
-
Programming
-
User training
-
Report writing
Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
