OnlineSession 3N/A

Unit description

The School places considerable emphasis on experiential learning that enables students to gain insights and practical skills through completing a period of time working within the legal environment. Paralegal Placement is a unit that aims to help students gain insights into the role of a paralegal in the practice of law and to support their transition to working in a law-related work environment.

Unit content

Students are required to undertake a 10 day placement in an approved law-related environment. There are no formal classes in this unit, though students are required to attend or view a compulsory Collaborate session prior to commencing their placement, as well as being required to engage in online learning activities during the teaching period.

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
