Unit description
Examines the provisions of the Family Law Act 1975 (Cth) and other key legislation. Introduces students to the relationship between the law and family and explores the legal rights and obligations of family members with a particular focus on divorce, parenting, property and violence.

Module 2: Constitutional and jurisdictional issues, the courts and dispute resolution
Module 3: Violence and abuse
Module 4: Parenting matters
Module 5: Financial matters
Module 6: Special issues in family law
