Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to: | |
---|---|
1 | demonstrate personal competence in mathematics to a level appropriate for their intended tertiary study and later professional settings |
2 | demonstrate the mathematical understandings and capabilities that enable the integration of numeracy into professional and societal use |
3 | plan for, collect, analyse, represent and apply data for individual and professional use in a variety of settings in ethical and appropriate ways including applications to probability |
4 | employ a range of appropriate technology applications for mathematics and numeracy, in everyday and professional settings |
