Unit description
Develops knowledge and capabilities in evidenced based psychotherapeutic practices including the application of focused psychological strategies for people experiencing high prevalence mental health problems. Applies contemporary cognitive behavioural theory in case formulation of common mental health problems and plan care accordingly. Utilises and recommend mindfulness practices appropriately to enhance health and wellbeing.

- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy theory and formulation.
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy theory.
- Mindfulness based interventions.
- Using mindful interventions to promote wellbeing.
Learning outcomes
