Unit description

Provides students an overview of tourism activity and development in the Pacific Asia region. Students are provided with the opportunity to critically examine significant current issues, such as the impact that tourism may have on locals in tourist regions. Students will also explore future implications of tourism development.

Topic 1 Geographical overview of the Pacific Asia region
Topic 2 The patterns of tourism in the region
Topic 3 Factors that have influenced tourism development
Topic 4 Implications for the future of tourism
Topic 5 Significant impacts from tourism
