Unit description
The aim of this unit is to provide rudimentary technical instruction in aspects of various contemporary music performance styles including electronica, pop, country, reggae, funk and hip hop, music theatre, in relation to specific instrumental and vocal performance studies. This unit builds upon knowledge gained in the pre requisite unit MUS10503.

- Technique and technical routines of an instrument: guitar, keyboards or in singing
- Performance practice in contemporary styles
- Ensemble skills
- WHS issues related to music performance
Learning outcomes
