Unit description

Builds on the skills and knowledge gained in Advanced Music Studio Practice I, refining advanced level performance, songwriting or production skills through analysis and critique of repertoire and the application of studio specific techniques. Students participate in practical and lab sessions and participate in one to one and small group tuition in their chosen studio practice area.

Advanced level concepts and techniques related to a specific studio practice area (performance, songwriting or production)
Analysis and critique of repertoire, performance and recordings.

Learning outcomes

integrate advanced level concepts and techniques relevant to a specific studio practice area

evaluate and reflect on advanced level music practice and implement strategies to improve targeted areas

refine the application of advanced level concepts and techniques to the performance /presentation of selected repertoire/examples in a specific studio practice area.
