Unit description
Provides the basis for the midwife to facilitate and support the woman as decision-maker in optimising the health of the woman and her baby in the postnatal period. Students will discuss the psychophysiological responses in the postnatal period.
Unit content
- Midwifery care for the well woman and her baby during the postnatal period
- The psychophysiological responses for the mother in the postnatal period
- The psychophysiological responses of the neonatal in the postnatal period
- Medication and drug calculations
