Unit description

Synthesizes knowledge, clinical skills and nursing competencies in relation to complex clinical scenarios. The presumed knowledge required for students to undertake this unit includes BNurs units up to and including Nursing Clinical V. This unit should be completed in the final session of study in preparation for practice as a registered nurse.

Unit content

Students will select a complex care scenario from one of the following areas, and complete two negotiated assessment items based on this scenario:

  • Medical-Surgical Nursing
  • Mental Health Nursing
  • Aged Care Nursing
  • Community Health Nursing
  • Maternal and Child Nursing
  • Disability Nursing
  • Paediatric Nursing
  • Indigenous Health Nursing
