Unit description
Provides a 10 week (400 hr) Advanced Fieldwork under the supervision of one or more occupational therapy clinicians. Students undertake, with supervision, learning experiences to consolidate and further develop professional behaviours and competencies, and integrate and apply theory and skills at an advanced level. Clinical reasoning and reflective practice are demonstrated at more advanced and complex levels than in previous placements.
Unit content
For this unit, students have specific requirements that they have to complete in order to satisfy requirements e.g. critical reflections. The students are assessed by the supervisor during practice education using the SPEF-R (Student Practice Evaluation Form - Revised) and they are specifically assessed on the below domains:

- Service Provision
- Service Evaluation
Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. | 5 | demonstrate effective assessment skills in direct client care, case management, project management or consultancy |
| 6 | develop and conduct effective intervention in direct client care, case management, project management or consultancy |
| 7 | reflect on practice education experiences demonstrating a deeper level of understanding of its significance compared to previous placements/years and demonstrate an awareness of the value and importance of life-long learning in professional development. |
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
