Unit description
Provides students with a deepening understanding of the diagnostic theory and methods in primary care medicine, with particular concentration on the modules of gastrointestinal, genitourinary systems and in the obstetrics domain while integrating the osteopathic principles and practices into patient problems in these systems. An additional aim is to establish the business skills necessary for practice in the community.

Topic 1: Principles of reproductive medicine and obstetrics Review of pathology Advanced diagnostic skills Management of the pregnant patient

Topic 3: Principles of health practice Business models and ethics Taxation Insurance Responsibilities
Topic 6: Case study development, including Case history interview Integration of basic and clinical sciences Nutritional and lifestyle considerations Diagnostic work up Development of a rational management plan
