Unit description
Provides students with an understanding of and competency in applying the principles and practice of musculoskeletal and workplace rehabilitation. This unit also aims to develop advanced clinical reasoning while integrating the osteopathic principles and practices into patient care. Simulated clinical cases are used to develop clinical reasoning and practical skills.

- Application of the biopsychosocial model of health and illness
- Principles of musculoskeletal rehabilitation
- Principles of manual handling
- Functional capacity assessment
- Principles of occupational/workplace rehabilitation
- Workplace rehabilitation framework
Learning outcomes

4 | demonstrate competency in constructing and applying appropriate return to work management plans for patients based on the principles of workplace rehabilitation |
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
