Unit description
Epidemiology is the study of diseases at a population level. Students examine how disease occurrence is measured and studied in a population, how they are linked to causal agents and how they can ultimately be managed or prevented.

- Epidemiological studies and biostatistics
- Causation and prevention of disease
- Non-communicable and communicable diseases
- Environmental and occupational epidemiology
- Clinical epidemiology and health policy and planning
Learning outcomes
